Get ready for the solar eclipse on April 8th!!
A narrow area of Ohio will be in the path for a total solar eclipse and the rest of Ohio will be able to see a partial solar eclipse.
To assist our patrons in viewing this event, beginning March 4 library patrons ages 18 and older can show their library card at the Circulation Desk to obtain up to two pair of eclipse glasses (while supplies last).
If you are unable to find your card or do not have it with you, you may show a staff member at the Circulation Desk a valid photo ID to obtain the glasses.
If you do not have a library card, the staff at the Circulation Desk will be happy to issue you one. Please click here for information on what you will need to apply for a card.
During the solar eclipse, please make sure to follow the viewing instructions printed on the frame of the glasses. For more information, NASA has safe viewing instructions here.
