Trivia Night Ages 13 and over Come out for Trivia Night and compete as an individual or play with your friends to test your knowledge of current events, history, pop culture, and more! Trivia Night is open to teens, adults, and families with children who are age 13 and over. The winning individual or team will receive a nominal prize and bragging rights! Light refreshments will be provided. Youth Services Programs Adult Programs Teen Book Club Ages 13-18 The Teen Book Club will meet in June to discuss Vincent and Theo: The Van Gogh Brothers by Deborah Heiligman. The teens will enjoy completing their own “starry night” painting. Copies of the book can be borrowed from the library. The eBook and digital audiobook can be borrowed from hoopla or the Ohio Digital Library via the Libby app. The Teen Book Club meets every other month at the library and is for any interested reader, ages 13-19. Permission form required. Local poet Rodney Roberts will discuss his poetry and creative process on Sunday, June 1. His latest collection is entitled The Beginning of Life. A questionand-answer session will follow the presentation. Signed copies of Roberts’ books will be available for purchase. His three collections of poetry can also be borrowed from the library. Author Talk & Book Signing Bright Star Theatre Bright Star Theatre will return this year with a performance of Peter Pan in the Riverside Room. This classic will be brought to life with favorite characters, including Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, and the freespirited Peter. The performance will be targeted at children, grades pre-K to grade five, but can be enjoyed by all ages. This program is supported by the State Library of Ohio with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. In-B-Tween Club Ages 7-9 The first In-B-Tween Club meeting in June will feature a reading of The Wizard of Oz: The Official Picture Book adapted by JaNay Brown-Wood, illustrated by Pablo Pino. Attendees will complete a rainbow craft and get to play a “melt the witch” game. The second In-B-Tween Club meeting will feature a reading of Vincent Can’t Sleep: Van Gogh Paints the Night Sky by Barb Rosenstock, illustrated by Mary GrandPré. Attendees will get to complete oil pastel artwork. Evening Storytime Ages 3-6 Evening storytime on June 12 will feature a “Buzzing into Summer” theme, while, on June 26, attendees will enjoy a reading of The Firefly With No Glow by Rebecca Smallberg, illustrated by Jessica Gibson. Evening storytime is for children, ages 3-6, and is typically held twice per month at the library.
